It is a pity that these practical solutions are less prevalent in carmaker industry!

A magnificent French solution for car doors…

Peugeot 1007 has two power sliding doors, according to the Wikipedia:

“The 1007’s unique design features four pillars and two power sliding doors (as in a large MPV) rather than conventional hinged doors for easier access in cramped spaces and on hills.”

And as far as I know, they made the doors with option of remote control.

It is a pity that this practical door type is less prevalent in carmaker industry!

Self-levelling suspension by Citroen

“In 1954, Citroën introduced the first self-levelling rear suspension, and then in 1955 pioneered self-levelling of all four wheels, using its hydropneumatic system.”

For instance, the Citroën BX had this useful feature.

Perhaps it is no coincidence that this company was asked by Mclaren to make engines their F-1 race cars.
